Well & Tank Battery Sign




Rule 6. Identification of Well.

Every well permitted by the oil and gas board shall have posted on the derrick during drilling, or in a conspicuous place near the well bore after completion and on the tank battery, a sign in reasonably large and clear lettering with the following information:    
A) Operator of record as carried at the oil and gas board;    
B) API number as assigned by the Oil and Gas Board;    
C) Field name as designated by the Oil and Gas Board and/or designation as a wildcat;    
D) Section, township and range;    
E) Well name and number as carried at the Oil and Gas Board;    
F) Telephone number for any emergency associated with the well and/or facility. Wells in existence at the time of passage of this rule shall be brought into compliance with this rule within 180 days of passage.
